Does having Social Phobia affect your work/school?

I am 16 and I have been homeschooled since I was 14. My dad calls me pathetic, but he doesnt understand what Social Phobia really is.
I want to go back to school (more than anything) but Im just not ready for that yet. My SAD (Social Anxiety Disorder, SAD, Social Phobia, etc call it what you will=) is preventing me from doing ANYTHING. I dont even eat in front of my dad anymore =[ :cry:

seriously i hate to hear parents speaking bullshit to their sons no matter how many good they think they're doing, it's wrong :evil: , i mean my parents are lovely but they did it, and that's something i won't forget so soon, i love them and i have forgiven them, but i keep the remembrance at my heart because i would never ever do it.

I wish i could say to them: "if you think your son/sister is a failure , it's just mean that you're right in only one thing, that you're a failure as a parent!"

not just for you but for everyone here that have hte same problem.

to me , my Anxiety/avoidance/shyness whatever it's called affect everyday in some way, my whole life, hanging the phone is a constant fight! i'm noticin that even in points of my life i really didn't thought it would affect it became a presence in some way :/
