Docs apt tomorrow

The last time I was at the clinic (~ a year ago) for anxiety and depression, it was somewhat awkward. The guy talked to me like I was a child. I'm hoping that's not the standard for general docs that see patients like me. Thinking about writing up a list of problems in advance so that I can speed up the process this time around. Anyone else do this?

In any case, I'm looking to get a referral to an actual psychiatrist. It's been about 6-7 years since I've met with one. Didn't do me much good back then but I'm willing to give it another go. What I'm really hoping for is to make my case for disability so that a therapist will vouch for me. The difference between then and now is that I'm no longer on my parents insurance (I'm 25). I can't afford $200 visits. If anyone can speak from similar experience, how did you get help and how much came out of your pocket?
