Hey everyone, just wondering about those who get out occasionally, do yu feel any need to push yourself everytime your social?, even after years and years of suffering through Social Anxiety?. Check out the poll above (I know you probably saw it first already).

It depends who i'm talking to. If it's somebody i know well then i can hold down a normal conversation. Strangers are another thing entirely. I find it very hard to start conversations with people i don't know. I find social situations draining in general.

I can go to town on my own if I have an appointment and then at the same time, I meet up with a friend who I wouldn't describe as very close to me but two of my closest friends are busy so hanging out with this dude is OK. I would say I'm only pushed by some members of family when we have family weddings or weddings and one of them nags me to go out and about and meet people etc. I wish I could tell him how my SA prevents me from doing so!
