It isn't so bad for me... my hairdresser (been going to the same one for the past 2 years) has never really talked to me much (she's usually talking to the other hairdressers). I guess one way to avoid having to talk to them would be to read a magazine or something?

When I was younger and used to go the hairdressers with my mum, she used to do all the taking, and she used to embarrass me and make me feel even worse by saying well talk then 
and cos I was too terrified to talk my mum used to hit me when we got home and said that I made a show of her in front of everyone
