Do you ever wonder what it must be like to be charismatic?

If I could have one thing in the world, it would be to have the personality trait of charisma.

For me it is something you either have or you don't have. The people who have it are so fortunate. The idea that somebody has such a captivating personality that they can get others to do what they want by using persuasion is amazing to me. I would love to experience it.

It offers such avenues, you can be a good person and use it to benefit humanity... or you can go in the other direction and use it for your own self-interest.

Yes, I have wondered, especially since I have a brother and sister who are both quite charismatic. It seems like the most wonderful thing to be charming and knowing what to say. I want what I don't have...there are perks to being shy I am sure but I can't really see the silver lining right now.

I think it's a spectrum rather than a polarity.

But my five year old nephew is the most charismatic person I've ever met. And I think it's because he truly pays attention to people. He's not all caught up in his head worrying about whether they like him, so they do.

Very true! I completely agree

I don't know. Being quiet and reserved works for me sometimes. Being charismatic also involves a lot of unwanted people in your life, too, which is something I try to avoid.
