I stopped drinking coffee after my math teacher told us he had holes in his lungs 'cause he drank too much coffee.

I used to love coffee. Half coffee, half milk, 2 sugars, miam :p Started drinking it at 5 years old 'cause my babysitter was giving me some without my parents' conscent while we were making cigarettes.

I quit drinking caffeine recently and it's helped some. It hasn't changed anything drastically, but I don't shake or get nauseous as much as I used to.

coffee definitely makes my SA much worse - strangely, however, ADHD stimulants make it better....and i don't even have ADHD - well, maybe without the H - as one thing i've certainly never been accused of is being hyperactive, lol.

Never knew caffeine had an effect on SA. A few months ago I started having a cup of tea every morning to help wake me up and I haven't noticed any increase in SA.

Not really. Once in a while some tea, and once in a great while some soda.

I do like chocolate, though, but I don't eat it THAT often.

Coffee is gross. Except some of the iced variety.

coffee should be thick and unadulterated with dairy additives

like so....

even better if a spoon stands up in

it's like a mini dose of Ritalin or Adderall

stimulants actually help me think more clearly

I stopped about three months ago and it has helped alot. I was drinking lots of diet cola and it really affected my thoughts big time. It's makes me more relaxed so my anxiety isn't as noticeable.

I drink caffeine every day, and I don't really know that is does much for me, if anything. I guess the only way to find out would be to stop drinking it and see what happens. I don't really have a plan or reason to stop drinking it though..

Unfortunately I've been a diet coke addict for the last fifteen years, but it doesn't matter to me whether I drink the caffeine-free version or not. I can't taste the difference nor do I notice any effect on my body either way. I do drink tea once in a while as well, but never coffee.

also, when I do have coffee-style caffeine, I usually eat it.
*crunch crunch*
It's a pleasureless, purely goal-oriented ordeal... which will hopefully be done away with when I get my paws on a coffee maker or a stove.

That's new to me.

When a student, two pints down my throat every day in the morning after a hangover to get to a lecture.

Since then, needing it whenever feeling sleepy at work. Between jobs, I need it for something to keep busy and nod dozy. Got myself a cafetiere. Maybe i should try quitting. It's boring, even on a high dose. Never after midday!

Dr Pepper!!

Maybe it's paranoid to think it's bad to have caffiene. Coffee is a food. Natural

maybe the difference is because of sugar not caffeine. even pepsi max messes up with insulin levels

Pepsi Max is a diet drink, it has artificial sweeteners in it, no sugar. I'm sure it was the caffiene, it made me paranoid, my thoughts were a runaway train when I was drinking that much.

I cut out soda pop and I crave it like crack sometimes though. I do think the stuff is horrible for you. I have had some dreams where I am drinking and wanting a coca cola so much I wake and want one so badly, but not since I stopped. Now i think its pretty gross stuff. I would kill for a mountain dew sometimes still.

I used to drink heaps each day, but I could not stand the withdrawal headache I got if I was unable to have a cup for a long time during the day.

So I only have 2 cups a day now, and never have to worry about getting the caffeine-withdrawal headache.
