I do. For loads of reasons. I mean i don't go to church or anything like that i would though, but i can't sit here and tell you i know for sure, or even know anything about it really...

and Chained - i use to be exacty like that i believed in God so why the heck was i going through something like this?... But then you can't really say "I believe in God, now take away all my problems"... not that i know anything about religion but i'm pretty sure you have to like serve him in some way? Do you go to church? Do your pray? Do you ask for forgiveness for your sins? (gosh i sound like a bible freak ha, i have never read it) In Gods eyes... something as simple as lusting over someone is considered a sin. You can't just wake up oneday and expect your life to be better because you believe, You gotta to the hard yards he'll just be there to help you, get you on the right path, be there when you feel as if you have no one...

Depends what your perception of "God" is though.

I've been waitnig for quite a while and trying and I know I can't wait for a miracle, but it's just really hard.. and r post sounded most reasonable...

The first "thing" was a primitive microorganism that came to be from the chemicals that make up life (Hydrogen, Oxygen, Carbon, Phosphorous, Nitrogen, Sulfur) coming together and forming "building blocks". It went on from there. We're all descended from primitive single-celled bacteria.

what was carbon made from, oxygen, hydrogen.... the first thing that made anything, what was it made of.. it couldn't just be there.. I don't know if u get my point.. who made it.. the thing or person that made everything.. so r saying that u believe in a single-celled bacteria ( no offense)

I don't know. I have difficulty believing my dog is real and I can see him. It's kind of like when I consider the vast never endingness of space, I cant conceptualise it. It doesn't mean I don't believe it, I'm just not convinced. I sometimes think the whole concept of religion was brought in to bring some kind of order to the world, an early version of law and order.

That reminds me of a philosophical view by Berkeley, which says that we only know what we perceive, and not what's actually there. It theorizes that your dog may not actually be a dog, but God's image of a dog, which he has implanted into your brain, and thus, you believe that your dog exists and is there. It's pretty morbid and messed up, when you think about it. I imagine God sitting at a computer and the rest of us are walking around with those big green diamonds over our heads like the Sims. I love it!
