I was just skimming through book I have of archaic and vanishing English words..did you know to 'Houstonize' used to mean to 'beat up a Congressman'?, an allusion to a beating administered by a certain Sam Houston to fellow Representative William Stanberry on April 13, 1832..you learn something new every day!

So, does anyone else have any curiosities they might share?

If you lie in the bed and while covering your eyes 100% and turn on the lamp for 5 sec, then turn it off and look at it in the darkness. You will see it having a weak green light.

Wikipedia on the early 20th century economy of the Tannu Uriankhai region: "Uriankhai trade with Russians was conducted on credit using a complex system of valuation principally pegged to squirrel skins. As the number of squirrels declined because of over-hunting, the price of goods increased."

Maybe if we made them into currency again people would scrape them off the road after running over them.
