Creating new Creatures

I'm just wondering but is it okay to create new creatures in like a story, for example: Half giraffe half dragon, A dog with 6 legs and 3 tails, a girl with horns, golden armored wolves, winged elves, monster creature bears with no eyes, ect. I only have a hard time coming up with a name for creative creatures.

A human that walks slow and is bent forward 45 degrees. It has a poisonous snake as tail and another human sticking out of his back that is greenish ( because of the snake poison ) looks dead, but isn't
