hi folks,my name is don and im new on here,i have been taking zoloft for about 8 months now, started at 50 mg a day for 2 months followed by 100 mg day for the rest of the time.
this all started as social anxiety, fear of waiting in lines, other people on the sidewalks and such, zoloft took enough of this away as i can function comfortably.i would say the side effects were minimal if any.
3 months ago i started losing small amounts of time, this is bad as i was a truck driver, thats shot now.i black out and continue in motion until i walk into things that wake me up.over the first month after the first episode my eyes started rolling up into my head,im concious, but just cant see.my head bobbles around like a bobble head doll alot of the time.my left arm waves for no reason.i have seen many doctors, family doctor determined i was out of his league,i have had an MRI , EEG , AMBULATORY EEG , SLEEP STUDY/DAY STUDY as well as having seen and ENT. no solution yet.the neurologist is leaning towards epilepsy.i asked every doctor about zoloft and they say no,zoloft wont cause this, quickly, not a one of them stopped to think about it.
so,since this began i had to stop driving, then it became clear it wasnt safe for me to work or walk anywhere due to the spells.so now i get rides everywhere and tinker around the house.so now im guessing due to the stress of bill collectors hounding me as well as the mortgage company as well as everything else that goes with 3 months of no work im developing somthing else.i am either anxious or depressed or normal, well normal as we can get.you never know what your gonna get when you see me.to ward off as much of this as possable i was thinking of going to 200 mg a day of zoloft.the docs say its not the problem, but none have suggested that it may help.what do yall think.the net seems to think its rare for me to develop epilepsy suddenly one day at 36.
thanks in advance for taking the time to read this.i dont see my doc till the 22nd of may and i need some info to chew on before i go.
