Convinced I have social anxiety disorder.

I am convinced I have social axiety disorder and have had this condition all my life. I am a 27 year old male living in the UK and have recently started a new job. This new position has hightlighted how bad the problem is and has made me consider visiting my doctor to explain the situation. I have never talked with anyone about my problem and am desperate to do so. If anyone who understands what I am going through is out there, I would love to here from them. Just to be able to talk to someone would be a great help, I'm sure. Thanks.........

hey uk_27...there's a ton of people on this site who can totally understand what you're going through..it was such a sigh of relief for me when i first discovered this site, cause at least i didn't feel all alone anymore in how i felt...like you, i have dealt with anxiety most of my life..but never talked to a doctor..or anyone else about it..there are lots of caring people here..and lots of good advice too..good luck
