Cant Calm Down After Being Angry

Hello

I just had a terrible situation where I was uncontrollably angry at another driver who cut me off. I've had SA for years now and I dont know why but this event just made me uncontrollably angry, I feel so angry that noone ever understands my perspective or considers my needs.

Any advice on how I can turn my brain off? I wish I had a sleeping pill or something, I just keep going over the situation and think how this guy wronged me so much.

firstly, no one HAS to understand your perspective or consider your needs. It sucks, but its the truth - its called life.
And if you think that someone cutting you off is such a deep and terrible wrong that you get this angry, maybe you need to get out and see the world a little to understand what being "wronged" is REALLY about? Maybe then you'd be ashamed of your behaviour.

However, I suspect the above isnt going to help one bit - you dont have the tools to deal with (at least at the moment) one of the simplest situations life can present (not being harsh, youve demonstrated this by your own words) and you need help to develop them, OR deal with the situation behind what is giving you this anger (which probably has NOTHING to do with driving or possibly even other people). Id suggest talking to a therapist about it.
