Can't afford to shop with friends

I'm 16, and leaving school in 3 days, my friend recently had a birthday and got some money from family members and she's gone out shopping with her mum.

Her parents spend their money on clothes and things for themselves (not in a selfish way)
My parents spend money on holidays abroad and making our house bigger or something, which sometimes means putting my pocket money on pause.

I would love to shop with my friend or just have lunch at a cafe one Saturday, but I'm getting the sense that she's getting a little in patient with waiting for me to have some spending money too.

Does anyone know of any thing to do that don't involve spending large amounts of money?

No my parents can't give me the money, I'm not poor or anything, it's just they don't see my socialising as priority No:1 which is totally acceptable,

My friend does not like bikes, We have done picnic before ect, but she prefers a day of spending, I just don't want her to wash her hands with me.

Hmm you could always tag along with her and help her choose stuff to buy, but don't buy anything yourself - might be a little boring on your behalf though.

You could also try and find a part time job or something (I know, it's a bit hard at the moment). Other than that, there's nothing you can really do if she prefers to spend.

Yeah I guess you're right.
I'll just have to tag along until I get some money of my own.
Thnx for the advise, it was helpful.
