Can you over-do iontophoresis?

Hi everyone. Right now is really insane. I just got a new job and I have to get fingerprinted tomorrow, so I have been going all out to get my hands dry with the Fischer MD-1a.

I have been doing 2 hours a day at 20mA, 10 hours total, and my hands right now are literally turning to prunes typing this. I mean they are REALLY dripping soaking wet, worse than when I don't do treatments.

So my question is have I overdone the treatments? I mean I thought that the more you did it at higher intensity the more effective it is, but my hand sweat is totally out of control right now and I think it might be because I have overdone it. Has this happened to anyone else where the sweating gets MUCH worse from iontophoresis?

And if so, are less frequent, shorter, and less intense treatments more effective?

It's been really hard to gauge how long it lasts. For me it could have been a week but I'm not sure. Iontophoresis does work with the salt, but trying to get the schedule down to maintain it or even to get the initial dryness is difficult.

Have you been successful with doing it 12 minutes every other day?

oolceeoo,

didn't mean to threadjack, but just wondering...
do you which pole is more effective for treatment? the positive or negative or do u do both?

I also thought more ionotophoresis caused MORE sweating for me.
