I'm asking this for my own personal attempts at being more confident and social in certain situations when I really need to be (like job interviews). I've tried SSRIs and benzos. I took 2.5mg of Ativan today for a job interview. The interviewee told the lady who set me up with the interview that I was too quiet/lacking confidence.

What are the right things to say to a new psychiatrist for him to prescribe me Adderall?

I think it's best you tell your psychiatrist the truth. Tell him your symptoms, answer his questions, to him your goals for therapy. Let him decide if Adderall is necessary for you or if any other course of action might be better.
