I would strongly, strongly! urge you not to have ETS surgery, especially as it is only for your armpits. But you shouldn't get ETS no matter where the problem is.
With ETS you are destroying the sympathetic nervous pathway, which plays a vital role in the body, this can have disasterous consequences as i'm sure you have read about.

There are other surgical procedures for axillary sweating which don't seem to risk all the major complications you can get with ETS.
There is currettage, Excision (skoog procedure) and axillary liposuction. The sweat glands are removed by scraping with curretage. Liposuction removes glands by suction, but many can grow back, unlike with curretage. With the skoog procedure glands are removed using fine scissors and magnification.
