avert and morning exercise

For my palms, a 2mg dose of avert seems to last unbelievably long... unfortunately the same is not true for my forehead. I had to ask this girl at the library if she could disconnect the adapter for my laptop for me, since she was in the way... and i quickly felt my forehead was glistening a bit. it may have had to do more with the elapsed time since i took the pill. i took it at least like 8 or 9 hours prior to that incident so maybe it had mostly wore off? at least that's what i'm hoping, otherwise i might have to up my dosage for social interactions... even though 4mgs was kind of unpleasant. it's only like my 5th day on this so i'm still trying to figure it all out. we'll see.

also, yesterday i had difficulty eating... 3 hours after i toke my dose, i decided to eat, and it was just so hard to swallow the food, i pretty much had to follow each bite by a sip of my drink. not very pleasant as you might imagine, lol.

So I saw a good pharmacist here (seeing the Dr. tomorrow), and he told me I should use it daily for seven days before my body gets accustomed to it. He told me the brain feelings will either go away or get more annoying, and then I'll decide if to stay on it or quit. What if my blurred vision and feeling of being annoyed are from my eye getting dry? I'll try to get some eyedrops, eardrops, and nose drops to keep everything a bit moist. So I took another pill today, I think it's around 3 to 3 and a half hours after that it really dries you up. I'm not sure how long exactly it lasts, but I think it should last all day with a gradual decrease in effect every couple hrs or so.

grimaldi I'm really happy for you just read your post. Wish me luck too and hope I can make it work for me without the head floatedness.

I tried 4mg again, after last night's little episode. I felt great. I still had a bit of trouble while eating, but it wasn't as bad as yesterday. I felt nowhere near as terrible as the first time I took 4mg, some bubble gum did the trick with the dry mouth and the eyes felt a tad dry, but it wasn't unbearable or anything. Then I had a conversation with someone I ran into, and then another one with my roommate... whom i don't really talk to that much mostly bcuz we hardly see each other, he's busy working, i'm busy with school. Anyway, I was very very comfortable talking with them, I didn't feel any sort of anxiety, or panic, or sweaty forehead, or any rush to try and end the conversation ASAP, it was nice!

I'm terrible holding a conversation, probably from the huge lack of experience due to my HH, and also my fear of breaking a sweat. But just knowing I'm not gonna break out in sweat in the middle of a convo helps me relax a bit and gives me a little confidence boost. I'm just hoping I'll be able to fine tune my social skills from here on out :)

Rexus I wish you luck indeed - this stuff does work so just be patient, relax and have confidence. Our bodies react different to everything and maybe you just need an extra week or two to get used to it. Since you work out a lot, your metabolism is probably a bit different.

Just wanted to get your guys attention on HOW IMPORTANT it is to take this on empty stomach! Yesterday I played a football game in the afternoon, had a massive meal at 7.15 p.m., was attending a party starting at 9 p.m., so had to pop my 2 mg Avert just after 8 p.m., and it did next to nothing - I was sweating badly through my shirt and my forehead was dripping when going outside in 28-30 degrees and crazy humidity.

Then I came home around 4 a.m. without eating, and took 2 mg before bed, since I had an interview at 11.30 a.m. I had a really dry mouth when waking up, I went and talked with the manager of a film archive, a quiet serious and high ranking guy, and I didn't sweat at all, not when walking there, not when interviewing him. Fantastic.

I will really keep to no food 2 hours before or after taking this. Then I have reckon so far it keeps me dry for some 12-14 hours on 2 mg. Also, for some reason, it works very well day after drinking, which is strange, because I use to sweat more then.

Yesterday I took my normal 1mg in the morning about 1-2 hours before going to work. I was completely dry at work all day. Then I met some friends around 6pm. I was getting just a tad sweaty, but not much. We drank several beers over the course of the evening and I was completely dry. I was even shaking hands with a bunch of new people.

After a night like that I feel like I'm on top of the world, so I didn't take my usual 1mg before bed. I figured I'd just wait until this morning. I did that, but was a bit sweaty this morning. But then it kicked in and I was dry for a few hours. But then it got very warm out, and I started sweating some. Right now I'm sweaty.

So, I think I need to take at least 1mg before bed in order to stay dry first thing in the morning, otherwise there's a good chance I'll sweat when I wake up.

Tomorrow I have a big social event and it is supposed to be quite warm outside, so I think I'll take the usual 1mg before bed, then 2mg tomorrow morning.

I agree you need a couple hours of an empty stomach for maximum effect.

yo gri have you ever got your thyroid checked!?? A certain poster opened my eyes to this the other day, but I've been reading around and since you told me that you're like me and you sweat all over and feel an intolerance to heat, it might mean we are good candidates for being hyperthyroid... i have many of the symptoms

Hyperthyroidism Risks/Symptoms Checklist

check it and see if you have many of these

my results won't come back till next monday, so I'll tell you what goes on

i think i'm getting somewhere by researching some of my weirder symptoms like red hot ears!

and it has a solution in the form of steroids!

Relapsing Polychondritis - How is relapsing polychondritis diagnosed on MedicineNet

now get this...

a friend of mine had sweaty hands and feet and also sweat a lot overall, but the problem VANISHED once he started taking steroid cycles for his workouts! I guess in the following weeks I'll have something new (and expensive) to experiment with. First thing tomorrow I'm doing is seeing a glands doctor...

Warning to you guys -- today I was running up some stairs and for a few blocks in very hot weather. I almost felt like I was going to pass out, and my mouth was completely dry. When I finally got to a water fountain I drank for at least 1 minute.

Now, I am kinda out of shape (lack of normal exercise) but am not overweight at all, so I'm sure that contributed, but after this episode today, I'd be very hesitant to be on an exercise regiment while taking glycopyrrolate/Avert.

It was also so hot and I was sweating a lot. But after I got inside, drank water, and relaxed for 15 minutes, my hands dried again, which is probably almost all due to the glyco. Without taking it, my hands probably would've sweated the rest of the day.
