Just finished my diploma and ive been applying for all the junior positions, my resume is perfect now, and ive also been applying for retail positions and anything thats full time so i can get out of the house, i dont want to be sitting around all day, i enjoy keeping busy, but its not happening, ive been to an interview so far and it was a success but i havent heard any news on whether i was considered for the position.

Why is job hunting so stressful? .....and is it normal for it to take this long to be offered anything, i need to move out soon because i dont get along with my dad, so the sooner the better, i can look for rent and feel secure as an adult that i am in full control, would help my self esteem big time.

Also this is like swimming in the depths of insecurity to me, now that im yet to acquire work and im living under my parents generosity to survive, i know thats only temporary but i feel that while this is the case they (parents) have a certain control, they play the God figure and that also takes away my sense of independence.

I NEED A JOB NOW..ARGHHH!

Once I'd finished my degree, I was unemployed for nearly a year. Boy did it suck and I detested having to visit the jobcentre.

After a few months of unemployment, I decided to do voluntary work one day a week and I think it increased the amount of interviews I was invited to.

Scottish_Player is dead on- things do take time, so you've got to keep ploughing on.
