yea I'd love to have a look at your website. I love nosing around other peoples creations!

I had a listen to the fugs version of defeated and I have to say this may be one of the rare occasions that I actually prefer the cover to the original!

and yea I'm a massive Radiohead fan....slightly less so nowadays....it was the whole ok computer/kid a phase that got me really obsessed, but they're still probably my favourite band.

haha wow! that is the best compliment ever, as it's one of my favorite songs! thank you!

i love doing covers. could be because my dad has been a cover band for a long time.

i'll pm you my website. it's not done yet though, but the songs are all up there.

radiohead is god. i've love watching them grow as a band. loved In Rainbows and the second disc (I'm one of those suckers who actually bought the bigass collector's edition).

my friend just saw them in toronto and it was an outdoor concert. it rained and then a rainbow appeared while they were playing!

i told you. radiohead = god.

I draw and paint - i won't say "i'm an artist" because it makes me feel like a twat.

haHA! that's awesome. i hate referring to myself as an "artist" too. something pretentious about it I guess.

i'd love to read some of your poetry

I sometimes go days without sleeping because I'm in the middle of creating something and then I crash. It's almost like a drug. I totally get what you mean about the long dry spells too. I think they are maybe not that long but just seem that way.

wow!

are you bi=polar?

i play guitar but ive recently been teaching myself bass which is a fairly simple transition to make but after listening to alot of early r.e.m and teenage fanclub and hearing mike mills play such funky basslines had me inspired to try it out ..

i'd like to get into documentary making by being in the middle of the storm, sort of like filming something special as it happens then turning it into a piece of film that somewhat resembles a storyline, so i'm saving for a decent video camera, but all i have handy is a hi 8 camera ...

something like, filming a science project on its timeline course and seeing how it pans out or filming a band as they tour and getting all the behind the scenes footage ...

dpr - i'll post this poem i wrote in my English class a couple of weeks ago. I won't go in for false modesty - this is one of my better ones, and i quite like it. The theme we had to write to was "a room where an important event in your life happened" My room was the hospital room where i saw my grandmother die:

A room, perhaps. Chance
To remember a room
On days when the sun shines, perhaps, not so brightly.

Clearly, this one prevalent
Amidst thousands of thresholds
I have traversed.
Each with their own
Faces, or distinct hum of voices.
- Or not, perhaps.
And many a door yet lay before me.
But none as revelatory.

I stepped into that room in the deep of December
- And dark it appeared. Why
The dark translucent, pearlescent,
Reminiscent fog of gloom?
- And how heavily the fog hung over this room!
What was unfamiliar, yet etched in me?
What i knew not, yet knew,
Yet yearned to forgo?
But now, with the years, the fog has cleared.
I know now what transcendence lay before me, in that room.

Rooms, and doors.
Faces, and voices. Lay before me
A lifetime of both, but
To that room, again, i shall return every year
In the bitter-dark deep of December, and drear.

- The thing i don't like about my poetry is that it's too self-indulgent, too much old fashioned language, but it's just a habit i've fallen into over the years. I like Shakespeare, Byron, Keats, and Shelley (check the signature), among others. But i don't really like modern poets - so i write sort of old-sounding poetry.

Btw, the music on your myspace is really good - i liked "Serve yer term", that was exceptional. You should record an album, or something - you're really good!

i don't think so. my therapist never told me anything about bi-polar. i have SA and OCD and a sex/love addiction. I always thought it was the "perfectionism" part of my OCD that made me focus so hard on one thing regardless of what I should have been doing (i.e. eating, sleeping)

TBH, i don't know much about bipolar disorder? is that what people with that disorder do?

Bass is fun! I still suck at slap bass though, and no time to practice it these days.

I would also like to make a film one day. Maybe just a short one. Right now, I am making instructional guitar videos for Youtube/Facebook. I don't even have a hi-8 camera, I just use the video setting on a digital camera. It's kind of lame, but it's all I have right now.

What camera would you get?

wow, that is awesome. I could never write poetry like that. It flows so well! I like how it sets the scene in your mind. I like self-indulgent poetry/songs sometimes. Sometimes it's called for and it works out you know? I don't like many modern poets either, except a friend of mine. He is an amazing poet and it's not just because he's my friend either.

I wish I had some near me, but I don't.

One of my favorite poems about death I memorized along time ago when I was a kid. It's by Kevin Ireland, I may have messed it up but it's something like this:

I see my love's come-hiter stare
Her hair is dark as night
I see my love's dark swollen lips
Her skin is pale and white
I say to her, "Come open dear"
My heart is free and light
And I prise her flickering eyelids wide
And look into the night

and thanks for the compliments on my music, I'm glad you liked it! I have actually recorded quite a few albums, but they are all barely released cuz I'm a big chickenshit lol
