Anyone heard of this medication?

There is a medication that my pdoc wants to put me on.Its called moclobemide. Also known as manerix. I haven't responded well to the SSRI's and the SNRI's accept for effexor. It worked wonders but had to get off it because of a side effect.
So I'm just wondering does anyone know what moclobemide is? How does it work? What are its side effects? Has anyone else been on this medication? What were your experiences on it?

Its a reversible MAOI. It is generally used by doctors who are too wimpy to prescribe real MAOI's since Manerix I don't think has any diet restrictions. Over the years of being on anxiety forums, the general consensus is that Manerix doesn't help much at all if any for anxiety/depression.

IMO Nardil or Parnate are much better medications to ask your doctor for.

Well I'll try this medication first before going on a different MAOI just because I was reading up on MAOI's and there side effects are pretty bad at times if you don't keep a good diet.
