Anticipation

So I have just spent a nice girly afternoon talking with a close friend about guys and having a few drinks :D and I am a bit...um...tipsy...

But, to tell you the truth, I was dreading it. I don't know why, I've known her for years, feel comfortable chatting with her and we had a good time. Does anyone else find the anticipation far worse than the actual event? It's like we have to torture ourselves with the anxiety instead of just looking forward to what it was, a few hours relaxing and chatting with a friend. :?

Absolutelty Alter_ego!

Even situations I know I'll enjoy, I'll dread for absolutely no reason. You may want to try and 'keep your mind' occupied when you find yourself starting to dread a situation for no reason. "No Idle Hands" and all.
Do the dishes, do homework, listen to music, watch TV, etc. Keeping myself busy helped me in that area.

Good luck!

Usually yes, although there are excpetions. I get nervous waiting for my friends when I go out, but Im fine once I get in the car. However, work is another matter, feel fine about going there usally, but the moment certain people walk in ,and many customers, it triggers panic slightly. Dammit it may only be slight, but its enough to make me shit at my job at times.

Exactly the same with me, no need to say more.
