I went clubbing a couple of times and I hated it. People said "come on, you're gonna have fun!" yeah.... what really happened reminded me of a song by The Smiths:

"There's a club, if you'd like to go
You could meet somebody who really loves you
So you go, and you stand on your own
And you leave on your own
And you go home
And you cry
And you want to die"

that night was just great...

Been clubbing only a couple times also, it was a nightmare. Just looking around the general atmosphere everyone seemed so accustumed to it, so comfortable and natural in that environment.

I had no idea what to do or what to say. When my 'friend' (the persons I went clubbing with) were getting drinks, I had no idea what to drink either cos I dont go out so I dont know what's good or not =s

The worst part was when everyone sort of went and mingled with others that they knew or someone they just met, I was left sort of in the shadows not knowing what to do or where to go

Worst night(s) ever

I´ve been to plenty of clubs n bars. I don´t enjoy it anylonger.
Don´t see the point now.
I like going to music concerts once in a while though.

You aren't the only one. I detest those kind of things too. And I can assure you there's a lot of people who don't like it either ;)

Im 18 and ive never gone clubbing. Most people my age go out clubbing but it doesnt interest what so ever to be honest. Id rather sit at home watching tv or sitting on facebook :D I dont understand why you would want to go out somewhere thats extremley loud, Kill your liver, and end up puking and have a migrain? How is that appealing. So your not the only one Vancouver24 :) xx - Rosie

I've been to a couple clubs b4. They're the loudest places I've ever been. One of them was so loud that I couldn't hear one word that my friend was saying.

You can't bring your own drinks in. They have these insanely overpriced drinks in there that you have to buy if you want to drink there.

In every club I went to, I always felt kind of out of place. Well, I feel that way most of the time when I'm in public places, anyway. So, yeah. I would never be comfortable enough to go to a club by myself.

I'm probably one of the few on here that does go clubbing. I do it because I love the atmosphere, the synthetic thunder, and the booze. Most people on this site do not like it and that IS OK. I can see why and I don't blame anyone on here for not liking it.

I actually love alcohol with a passion. I just don't like being around people in most cases.

I'm almost 27 and never been to clubbing in my life either. I feel like I've missed out especially when I har stories from the guy I work with about all the girls he's pulled in clubs etc, but I don't think it would be for me. I dislike alcohol and can't stand drunk people. Sadly it seems the only alternative is to sit on your own lonely... ::(:

I've been once. I got sick because of the crowd and smoke and stuff. So yeah.. not my cup of tea. I'm 23 and here I am on a Friday night doing.. uh what am I doing ? oh yeah.. lurking spw :) I'm usually playing some games or reading as I don't have many friends willing to go out.. Just because a lot of people are doing something doesn't mean you have to do it to or that you are missing something.. believe me, in this case .. clubbing.. seriously, you're not missing out on anything. My advice is don't think about it anymore and find other places to go with your friends :) (that's just me .. not saying my advice is any good)

I really think that clubbing is an excellent pastime if you are mindless, boring, impressionable and has poor taste in music :p

The people here in England who go clubbing are that type of people. Especially embarassing to watch are the girls. What respectable girl would go out like that is beyond me. I think they'd have to get drunk first at home just to go out like that.

I don't think clubbing is natural. It feels forced, lame, and aggressive. The closest thing I can think of that occurs naturally is maybe tribal dance, but that has a theme and it invites people of all ages, in a more wholesome way.

People under 25 tend to club because that's become the accepted way to 'have a good time'. I tried a few times and it bored me to death, no wonder they get drunk and high cause otherwise they'd be too.

Also I can see why some people might be attracted to go for casual hookups. However I think it really is a breeding ground for STDs.

If I could dance I probably would enjoy them. The few times I have been to them I lost track of my friends because it was dark and loud. So I ended up trying to figure out what to do for the next few hours.

Duuuuude! :D

I actually do like to dance. If I have enough drinks in me, and if the music is right (which means going to the rather rare right sort of club). To me that's the only worthwhile reason to go to a club. There are better ways to spend time with your friends, and better ways to meet new people.

i like the bar across the street

there's a moose head hanging on one wall, and a canoe hangs from the ceiling

they serve good beer, and even better food

there are several plasma screen televisions for the games

a jukebox with a great selection of music (a friend of mine stocks it)

a pool table, a dart machine, free wifi

and usually quite a few very attractive women

Done it a few times.
I don't find it interesting or fun.
Too loud music, everyone is piss drunk, including myself.
I don't find it to be the best way to meet new people anyway. Too chaotic for my taste.

I don't feel i miss it in my life.

Tried it once because it's one of those 'cool' things that cool people do..didn't like it one bit. Too loud!

To those who think that they're missing out, trust me, you're not ::p:
