Hello All. I have lived a life of fear...and now I finally have the courage to speak out to other humans. I always feel that if anything or anyone comes close to my neck, it or they will choke me to death and i will die. Therefore, I am very afraid of human contact to my neck. What am i going to do???? Please tell me there are others of you out there. Responds necessary as soon as possible.
Be Safe out there
Best,
Declan

OMG thank you so much!! I have been waiting for this for so long. I hate it whenever someone toughes my neck, and I just freak out. I have also tried therapy, but it just doesn't seem to work. It makes me feel great to know that I am not the only person who suffers. You have made my night.

Best wishes

This is amazing. I thought that I was the only person in the world who suffered from this sickness. This problem has become a real problem for me. Just last week, I instinctively hit my boyfriend right in the face just because she was trying to give me a neck massage. If you or anyone else knows of any way to stop this, PLEASE let me know. It has been haunting me for my entire life, and I can't live like this anymore.

Reply soon!!

Sincerely,
Janet

just food for thought...

i had the same kind of problem for a long time.
i decided to try get rid of it by getting a massage.
didnt work right away but after i kept going i got used to and it went away all together.
i must say however that the massage ladies found me very weird and that was a bit awkward, but it helped

talk to ya,

Falling...slowly, I must know who you went to for a massage! I tried to have that done, but as soon as it started, I just freaked out and left. It cost me like $100 dollars for the massage, but it just felt too weird. Just like Declan said, I felt like someone was trying to strangle me. If you could post the name of the massuesse you went to, that would be fantastic! I would do anything to get rid of this problem once and for all.

Thank you soo much.

thisISrediculous, please, you are obviously a liar. I am trying to find out answers to some serious questions, and all you can think about is making fun of everyone who posts stuff on this website. I've seen your other posts. The only thing that is ridiculous here is you. I will look into this Disney Cruise, but I still don't trust you. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Falling_slowly, if you see this, could you please verify this for me? And if you could tell me the real name of this cruise, I would appreciate it so much. I took a chance and finally reached out about my neck problem, and all I get is people like thisISrediculous making fun of me. I am sorry to the people who are here and reading this just to get some real answers.

Thank you for agreeing with me.

I don't think that I will spend the required money, however to go on a Norwegian cruise just for a massage. I am sure that I will be able to get the same results from someone here in the UK. Well, I guess that I'm just glad to know that I am not the only one in the world with the same problems as me. Thank you for everything, everyone (especially you falling_slowly).

I don't have any problem like that, but I was thinking, as well as this forum, why don't you google a search for a site that helps with phobias? You hear of people having phobias of all kinds of things from spiders to water to heights so you might get some ideas that help.

I wouldn't feel too weird about it, I personally think most phobias stem from learned behaviour (like have you noticed a lot of kids are scared of spiders if their Mum is?) or from something that happened in childhood, like being scared by a big dog so becoming scared of all dogs. Maybe your phobia just started by something as simple as having clothing too tight round your neck when you were a baby.
