A success story!

I used to be a regular on this forum. When I first discovered SPW I was 18-years-old, had never had a girlfriend, was severely depressed and even the thought of talking to people made me sick.

I'm now 21 and for the last three years I've been working hard to overcome my SA and depression. I no longer have depression and my anxiety is at about 5% of the strength that it was three years ago. I've been on a few dates in the last couple years, even had a girlfriend for a while. I'm a much happier person and I find myself being able to hold conversations and make people laugh! (Starting conversations is still difficult though).

Basically what I'm getting at is just don't give up. Don't let your fear hold you back from going out and living. The more you expose yourself to what you're afraid of the less intense the fear will be. It's a rough road but if you don't give up and keep trying you CAN beat your anxiety and live the life you've always wanted :) I'm living proof!
