A life well lived...

Hie yer hence from me heath!
Today I managed to persuade my mother to let me use the fold out table we have in lobby of the house as makeshift workbench so I could fix my guitar. But she insisted on having me sit the each guitar on a big towel when I was working on either of them. :giggle:

Anyway, I successfully restrung one of my guitar and fixed the intonation on another. And fixing the intonation was something I’d never previously done before. But, thankfully, there are tutorials on YouTube on how to do both of these things. And it saves having to take my guitars to my local musical instrument shop every time I need to have them fixed or restrung. Even though, I had become a bit of regular customer there in when I was younger.

Oh, and a few weeks ago, I wrote a 3 minute piano instrumental over the course of 3 days; and, for once, wasn’t tempted to changed or re-recorded parts of it again when I was listening back to it recently.

Really? I'm still kinda undecided about uploading my music. But that's probably me just be overly self-conscious?

^ This is the recording software I used to make the track. And it has the ability to publish songs directly to Sound Cloud if you have an account there. But I don't currently have an account there, just saying... Not that I'd be against signing up.

My oldest sister is always pestering me to let her hear something, if I happen to be in middle of putting together a drum track or whatever when she walks into my room. Telling me I get my music uploaded. And the local tattoo artist who's done all my tattoos, and is a family friend, said much the same when I told him I was just getting into the whole producing and recording side of music, from having only played guitar.

Anyway, I'll just master and make a few tweak to the track - make sure the volume is right - then I'll see about uploading it.

Oh man I LOVE the piano.. could you please record it so I can listen to it?

Don't stress about whether you think it's good or bad etc, I'd just appreciate listening to it :praying:

It's already done, pal! Ah recorded it like a month ago, but haven't export it from my DAW as an audio file yet.
I just need to think up a song title for it; as well as a moniker for my Sound Cloud account.
The less naff, shite n' bawlick it is the better, to be honest. Then I'll start uploading.

And as I said in my previous post in this thread, I can publishing my songs directly to Sound Cloud cuz I'm using this software.

Though, I don't whether I want a single Sound Cloud for all my music, or if I want to keep things separate?
As I've got some unfinished rock/metal instrumentals on my laptop as well some electronic tunes? :idontknow:

Also, which thread on here should I post the link to the song in once I've uploaded it?

Would it be worth starting a new thread?

I know, yer probably all gonnae respond to me saying: “Graeme, just do it, ya fanny!”

Ah mean I’ve got - oh, 37 tracks in total on my laptop at the moment. But I’ll need go over them and see which songs are done and what I still haven’t finished. Oh, that’s all since April 2017, by the way. When I went through this absolutely mental phase of writing 2 songs per day, and starting another before going to bed, so I had summit to work on the next day. Write... Mix... Done...Next!! Repeat!

And I almost had an albums worth of tracks done by June 2017; but my family life went to shit over the summer and sent me into a pretty dark depression. So, I took what I half-jokingly referrer to as an “indefinite hiatus” from music in July 2017, and went through a bit of an “emo” phase. Well, minus the shit-tastic music, obviously... But, anyway, I’ve recently got back into the swing of making music.
So, we’ll see how things go...

Awrite, I'll see about signing up to SoundCloud and starting another thread on here for my music.
Might wait until I'm in a better mood though. Not doing so great lately.

Whoa!! Don't get yer hopes up as it could be shite? :giggle Hmmm... I think I've come up with thread title for my music.

Anyway, I had wee look into SoundCloud and there's an optio that a creates an account for you if you have Google account (which I do). And you can easily edit account names and URLs whenever you wish. Which is handy to know Aas I wouldn't want to pick a moniker and end up stuck with it, y'know?

I just spent the last couple days trying to mix these instrumental songs I wrote. Things are going well, even if it is a bit frustrating at times trying to get the sound I want. :kickingmyself: :giggle: But it's fun, nonetheless.

It's definitely a much needed distraction from having to listen to my family constantly argue all the time.

i don't think there r many options for me right now for anxiety 'groups'. i just feel like being in my shell protects me from anxiety and i have to leave when it comes to face to face, eye to eye. it's horrible even though I'm still working on it but i wish i could just wake up and it's all over. Can anyone relate? I really need consolation or ideas. it's so hard to make friends b/c it's not just about talking to people, it's about being compatible w/ people too and I'm in the condition where I can only be friends w/ people who have the condition i have, it's so narrowed down like that :(

Oh, I know the feeling. I can definitely relate. Both in the terms of my disability and anxiety and how difficult it can be making friends.
So, yeah, I also wish ah could wake up and my anxiety is gone. If only...

Have no idea what means to live a life well.... Not yet. The older I am I just see what is useless. Soon I thought travelling is good, to help ppl is good, to invent things seemed to be good, to help the World be better place.....but it all slowly changed. One day, in my 23, I've been traveling around and reach Niagara Falls, but i felt nothing. Just watter. I thought it would be better maybe, if I had a girl travelling with me. I dont think so now. How I really dont want to live is - what I see everywhere around me - to have a family, make up the house, mowing the lawn every day, care about the swimming pool, gardening (i hate it so much!), job where you know you'll stay till you die, making bbq with friends and talk bullsht.
The reason maybe is this - it's too much evil on the planet, in my country, everywhere, and if you feel it all the time, and you have no power to make changes, you even have no friends to talk about it seriously (!), you can't pretend that you're happy doing this or doing that. I am not as scared of outside reality as you are, I can go out an talk to people, but I dont want, they always talk the same way and dont care about anything but house, kids, garden and fcking.
