I'm a guy and I would want children.Maybe 2 or 3.I always like children they have so much energy and so much curiosity about the world around them.Always in a constant state of learning with bright eyes and I could make the world a better place.

My answer wouldn't change if I didn't have sp but it would make it possible to have children. The rate i'm going I know I will never have opportunity to have children now.So no kids for me.

1. I' ma 31 year old married male
2. I have a 13 month old daughter who i absolutley love, and maybe have one more once she goes to school.
3. I would have preffered to be better socially before she was born, as i am still struggling with it very much, now. I do worry the effect it will have on her, especially now that i am a house dad, while my partner works.

21 year old married women.

Never ever want kids! I don't know if it would be different if I had SP or not, I also have other issues but I guess I just don't want kids. I don't connect with kids.

If I ever did have one however, I think i'd want a girl simply because I am one and I know how they work. Oh plus I can buy cute care bears and strawberry shortcake baby clothes! HAHA.

male, I want 2 children- one boy and one girl or two girls- they are just cuter and it seems that on average girls aren't as rambunctious and hyper as boys. Not that there is anything wrong with that as long as you are playing with them.. but trying to keep them calm while going to the supermarket or what not... ---- my nephew is bad enough with the temper-tantrums. But, knowing my luck, I'll have a girl who is very hyper and rebellious..hehe.

1) Female

2) I don't think I'd want to have any children because I am sort of selfish and I like being by myself. I also get this horrible feeling when I think of death and I wish I had never been born and I wouldn't want my child to feel that.

3) My answer would not change.

1. Gender...let me check...it's male

2. I would like to have a boy and a girl. That would be when i have a very stable job, financial state, a house, and a.......wife :? So the last one is a real problem.

Although I worry they would grow up to have SP like me, I guess the medicine would have found out a cure for this.

3. If I wouldn't have had SP, i would have gotten very far compared to where i am now, I guess I would be allready making money and have found a girl i woold choose to be my wife, after a very long selection, or why not, after fining it from the first time, like soul mates and stuff.

2. No, not if they were my own children. I know that sounds weird, but I don't want to curse anyone with my genes. Also, the world is overpopulated, and I don't want to add to that problem, because I fear that if/when the world ends it will end because there are too many people and too much waste. And that scares me!! 8O I could possibly adopt, one day, because I really do love kids, and I feel more comfortable around them than people my own age. But with all this mental crap I go through, could I be a good mother all the time? I just don't know.

3. Mine wouldn't change, because the world won't change. But all this is so far away that I don't even know why I ever think about it.

I'm female, 22.

I would absoloutely love to have a baby. I think about it all the time! I can't look at a baby without getting all misty eyed. I can't imagine my future without children in it at some point. However, I would have to be absoloutely stable (emotionally, financially, even geographically) before I even considered it. And I want to live in the countryside first!
I'd quite like to have a little girl, because I'd be able to identify more with her and her problems. But really I don't mind!

My answer would be exactly the same.

I feel I must have kids one day, its the whole reason I or any other person exists, to duplicate your genes.

I completely disagree with that :( If it is the whole reason we exist how come some people physically CAN'T have children, some men and some women. Also what about women who have cancer or other illnesses and after can't have children? does that mean they have no reason to exist after that.

I have no desire to have a child, I want to want it... and I have my moments and it's sad I don't have that motherly instinct. I mean I think i'm a really nice, compassionate person when it comes down to it... especially with animals. I think it's because i'm not sure how to act around children, I relate that to my own childhood. Everyone i've seen about my illnesses have said it's related to childhood abuse. Of course if I ever did have a child i'd never repeat the mistakes or evilness my parents did.

Saying that, my husband doesn't want children either and altho his parents divorced he had a pretty good childhood. We have a stable marriage, financially and otherwise. I came from another country for him so the dedication is there but we just don't want that.

Does that mean we have no reason to exist?LOL. Because we have a lot more to offer than offspring!

I dont know

I could have chosen better words. I made the comment "the only reason we exist is to have children" from an observation, not a philosophy on life.

I never meant that people who can't have or don't want chidren have no reason to exist! I hadn't considered others before posting.

No, I don't want children, and I will never change my mind, I couldn't pass on my crap genes and make someone else as miserable as me, What if they looked and acted like me, their whole life would be ruined

I'm a guy who up until the last year or so would have been very doubtful on the subject. I'm still not 100% about it though but the more I think about it the more I think I would enjoy the ride, to see them grow up and help them to become better people while they would do the same to me in return, it really is a beautiful thing, but I try not to think about these things too much as they are a long way off for me yet and a little scary.
