1- Cognitive Behavioral Theraphy (CBT)

2-Set goals:

Goal: go to the mall and ask to an employee for help

Why this goal is important to me: because It's going to help me to face my
fears.

Action Steps:

-get ready to go to the mall
-get to the mall
-Look for some clothes
-Ask an employee Where are th fitting rooms at?

3- Make a list of the social situations that trigger you anxiety.

4- Hierarchy of events.

5- Hierarchy of time and distance.

6-Desensitization

7-Self-regulation therapy (SRT)

8- Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP)

9- Auto-Hypnosis

10-Social skills training (join to a group. example: take a course of public
speaking)

11-Negative thought vs. Positive thought

-negative thought: I won't be able to do this.
-positive thought: I've been able to do other things that I set my mind to.
I can do this. I just need to take one step at a time.

12- Medications

13- B vitamins

14-Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)

15- Join to a dance class (This is to have contact with the opposite sex)

16- Situational Expoture Hierarchy list

17- Assertive skills training

18- Eye-contact training

Your head would explode trying to remember all this!

Concentrate on the Action steps and number 3.
These are do-able and can be applied to every situation.
Confidence comes from from building on what you know.- so learn these two social skills.

While these are all good techinques-your only making it too hard for your self.
Learn something small that you will get a lot from instead of learning a lot and getting nothing from!..... wooo that's smart, we'd that come from:confused:

what I am doing is fighting SA; I have to get rid of it. This disorder is irrational. So, The question is: Are you going to deal with it for the rest of your life or Are you going to fight???
