Starving to reduce anxiety

According to some study, starving reduces certain neuroreceptors in the brain, specifically ones that make us feel anxiety. It causes euphoria and increased energy. Now, I don't recommend this to anyone but I've done it before (gone a long time without food, did 15 days once) and I can attest that it's definitely true.

U lived 15 days without food ? No way ! Well I can only do a day or I get crazy. But I'm dying after 1 day already, how do you keep up with 15, don't you die ? Well, I would say you care less about anything else because you're hungry, but it's not a pleasant feeling.

People can live over 30 days without food. After day 3 you no longer feel hungry, the euphoria kicks in. It's not really that hard, you just need to have willpower to get through the first 3 days which suck

But don't try this at home :p Jake doesn't want to be responsible for anyone's death

This guy claims to have survived with no food or water for 70 years:

I am rather skeptical myself.

I don't see the need to starve yourself. Anxiety is natural, and I don't see why people try so hard to make it go away. You make it harder by struggling with it and finding ways to avoid it.

A certain level of daily anxiety is normal, but an anxiety disorder that eats you up 24-7 and makes you dysfunctional is not normal. There's a big difference. I think my anxiety is going to kill me one day, as it will either cause serious ulcers, a heart attack from all the stress, or will just eventually drive me crazy!!!

You know, I used to be like that. But not anymore. I realized I was mostly responsible for it. By over analyzing things, never going out, making excuses etc, it only held me back. What have you done to help your anxiety? Because you cant control it. Have you tried meditation? Better diet? Do you try to push yourself to be around others and have some kind of social life? No I'm not talking about being around others and hoping/expecting them to make changes in your life. But actually experiencing life and trying to be more independent. It really helps. Its reduced my anxiety alot.
