I suddenly remembered this site and decided to place an update because....guess what My problem has gone..thank the lord!
When I started a new role as a social worker, my life was endless meetings at work and in peoples homes, so I had no choice but to face my fear head on. It was really tough at first and I almost left my job, but 18 months later it rarily crosses my mind, which is a miracle for me, and I am finally getting on with my life. So It seems that facing my fears has worked rather than trying to run away, and I am thankful for getting this job to allow me to do it. If it can get better for me, it can for you
