Hey everyone, ok i found a poem i wrote about 7 years ago, please ad yours?? Id love to read them

Now I know

*
Love is a song that makes you cry
*Love is a shooting star that seems to say hello as it catches your eye flying bye darting across the sky
*Oh how I wish I could be that star even though it will die be it anyway would I
*To see the view from up there
*I'd look down at the world in all its glory and know that I love every one in this story
*And as I say good-bye I will make a little wish in a wink of my eye
*For every one of my brothers and sisters
Now I know what love really is and I give it to you
Now I say as I'm fading away I'm here I'm the shooting star a traveller from afar just passing bye
*If you knew the truth you would probably cry
But it's ok I've done what I came to do is to understand love and now I pass it on to you

Actually after posting mine i wished i had'nt lol!!

I've won or have been a finalist on 6 or 7 poetry competitions on a national and international level, but it's mostly in Portuguese.

It's a nice poem, I think. And it actually makes sense. A lot of what's considered top poetry probably only makes sense to academics. I just think as long as you put your emotion out on a page, it's good enough.
