Has anyone tried odaban for their hands? I originally didn't want to use products with aluminum, but with the weather getting so hot, I desperate for anything. It got really good reviews for armpit sweat, but there were only 2 reviews for hand sweating. The reviews were good for hand sweat, but only 2 reviews doesn't mean that it will work.

My experience: I applied it on my hands before going to bed. In the morning it sort of leaves a slippery type sensation. It kept my hands dry for several hours and then they were back to normal sweating. I've tried it several times over several months, same results. For me it's not worth using on my hands. It may work for others.

Another problem is that the pump spray bottle clogs rather easily. 2 bottles, same problem.

Lately I've beem using some left over Dehydral with ionto and that seems to be working. I've ordered a tube of Antihydral which has almost double the main ingredient than Dehyhydral, yet have not tried it out yet.

Antihydral works extremely well but is pretty hardcore, and will most likely wreck your hands as it did to mine.

Can you explain what "wreck" means to you? Were you hands just very dry/cracked? Did it actually stop the sweating? It sounds like you stopped using it. Did it leave any long term damage on your hands? Thanks.

EDIT: Sorry, I searched and then found your description from your other thread:

The only topical I found useful was antihydral (methenamin) as used by rock climbers. I used this on my hands every night for 4 days, and afterwards had 90% plus dryness for several weeks. However this product caused extreme scaling, yellow decayed skin and calluses , to the point where I don't think I could break the skin even with a knife. It took 4 weeks, tons of moisturizer, exfoliation etc to get my skin back to normal. Conclusion: certainly works but tears up your skin like nobody's business.

I use Odaban spray for underarms, which works VERY well! If underarms are your problem, I highly recommend you start with this. I just ordered 2 more bottles from some vendor on Amazon (it was cheaper than the official website).

I was actually going to start a new thread about the Odaband HAND CREAM ( The many uses of Odaban. ), but we can keep it here for now. Also there is another thread which mentions it:

I am planning to try the cream for my hands. Once in the past I tried the spray for my hands, but it didn't work at all. In fact, it seemed to make the overall situation worse. The sweat came out in seemingly extremely tiny particles. Maybe the spray had partially blocked some pores. But overall it made my hands feel very awkward, and they were dripping the entire next day.

However, since I have such great success with the spray for the underarms, I am very willing to give their cream a try for hands. Hoping for a pleasant surprise.

I've tried the spray one. It doesn't work.
You need something stronger for your hands or feet, like anhydrol forte

I'm not sure what wrecked hands mean either. It's not something you can use months on end yet was effective using during ionto treatment.

Hey Sprawling,

He is referring to it how it works. You put in on overnight and in the morning wash it off but it takes some time to remove. You will notice the more you put it on the more cracked up the skin gets What he means is it causes really dry skin that flakes and with time will crack the skin. Almost like a paper cut.
Also when taking a shower your hands will become like prunes within minutes lol

Antihydral is 12 or 13 percent whereas Dehydral is 8 percent. I use Antihydral and would recommend it but don't put it on every night cause your skin will get destroyed. You will get that sandpaper feel which isn't cool
