OCD thoughts

Hello.I have OCD and was diagnosed with OCD back in Nov of 2001.I have had OCD for a very long time as far back as I can remember being in 1996.

I wonder if this is OCD and it's common for people with OCD to feel that they have like two minds one is the OCD mind and the other is your mind?Since when I try to say that it's a trick and think that it's a trick my OC mind goes like "oh no I don't want to stop thinking this way" while the other mind being me says "oh yes", so is this OCD?

I have been having intrusive thoughts lately after not having it a long time the last time being either late 2001 or early 2002.

I used to take luvox for my OCD starting at probably on Nov of 2001 and stopping it on Aug 2010 of last year after withdrawing slowly for a few years.I have read Dr.Peter Berggin's books "Your drug may be your problem", & "the anti-depressent fact book".

Hi Sunsport02, welcome to SPW.
I can relate. I tell myself to stop my thoughts, but at the same time I keep on repeating them, and have a lot of stupid thoughts.
Although I know they are stupid, It's very hard to have intrusive thoughts and feel so paranoid about it.
You're not alone.

My thoughts including my intrusive thoughts don't make any sense.

Does it feel like having two minds into one brain? One mind is the OC mind the other is you.Like your OC mind feels bad that you can't and won't be able to do things repetitively, and another part of you feels good that you don't have to do things repetitively. But there are times that you know that you don't have to do those things over and over again but at the same time feel bad because you can't do it.

When I went to see my psychologist I remember her mentioning that one of her patients felt like a "tire".
