men turning feminine

To me men are becoming more femenine or is it just that i'm a big girl myself! HA

Well when i take a good look at this here are the male's old doings

*Getting absolutly tanked and waking up in sick
*Drugs and hanging out with his mates
*Smoking
*Driving round like boy racer #10 with a baked-bean can as an exhaust
*Not giving a damn about his appearance or hygiene
*Swearing like a trooper
*Coughing, burping, farting........you name it
*Prefer 1 night stands to a relationship
*Talk about sex a lot

Now it seems the male takes care of hiself in this day and age

*Spending time doing his hair
*Showers more frequent
*Takes more care of his appearance
*Feels more comfortable showing his emotions
*Seem more caring and intrested in things they wouldn't normally be
*Take on more of a mother's role with the kids
*Prefers a relationship and commitment to 1 night stands
*Are more aware of their feelings
*Enjoys shopping

And it seems the women

*Like to get tanked
*Drug abuse
*Would rather be out with her mates than looking after the kids
*Prefers 1 night stands
*Talk about sex a lot
*Swearing like a trooper

I'm not saying that all females and males are like this, it just seems like the majority of the people i see or know are like this
Anyone else see where im coming from?

I like the fact that the lines between feminine and masculine are becoming more and more blurred.

But then again, although your observation is partially true, I think this kinda role-reversal trend has been going on since the day these roles where defined. :p

Yeah i see it too and i have to admit that i like that it's 'allowed' now - well more so than in the past. People have more freedom to be who they are, rather than living their lives subscribing to a stereotype of who they should be.

The whole thing is amusing to me. My father is a metrosexual and my boyfriend is more like the old "cave man" except he is a one woman man. (He better damn well be!) My father has always been a bit effeminate, it is just more acceptable now.

I'm waiting for the day when there are NO gender role expectations. Would be great if we were All comfortable with our emotions, hygenic and equally entitled to party mode. Frankly I am enjoying the men who are becoming more open and aware, hygenic etc. And not one gal I know would hit it with a guy who's up to the first panel of old accepted behaviors you noted. If a guy is stinky, farts, burps, gets drunk and does drugs all the time he can hit the road asap. Also I know several very happy stay-at-home dads so I think the whole thing is working out better for everyone. Mmmm, blurring the lines, mmm. Good stuff :D

So having no gender role expectations equates to being more feminine? Besides farting and getting drunk are two things I'm good at lol. Plus there's nothing like picking your nose first thing in the morning....hmmmm.....fresh juicy stock of bogey...hmmmmm *drool* 8)
