  • I am just across the river here in Quincy, IL so I am very aware of our hot and muggy Midwestern summers. I can stand still doing nothing and the sweat just pours off my head and face soaking my shirt. Haven't done the Ionto thing because I don't think wearing a snorkel and dunking my head in it would be a good idea. LOL

Yeah the glyco can really dry you out if taking it in larger doses. I have found the secure wipes applied topically to the effected area(s) work better for me with far less internal drying. It sure works on my face and neck where I have it the worst.
Luckily, I don't sweat that much other than from my hands/feet, so I don't too many problems with dehydration, at least not that I've noticed. I also rarely work hard outside in heat and humidity though! Even so, the hands and feet truly drive me crazy in the summer. I live in MO and the summer is soo humid and hot.

I've been doing pretty well the iontophoresis and glyco - I struggle with the ionto because I'm busy and I hate doing it, which translates to me not doing it as often as I should. But, glyco has been a lifesaver! I have to be careful with the glyco though - a couple weeks ago I went to a yoga class at the peak of glyco-induced dryness and almost passed out! I will also get bad headaches if I spend a lot of time in the sun sweat-free.

Thanks for the friend request and the kind comments! I've enjoyed reading many of your posts too :)
I liked a recent post of yours. Great advice! :)

Looks like we are on he same page on the HH treatments. Glyco is actually the first thing I've tried that had any real impact on my HH. Im still working with different combinations of the pils and the wipes to suit different situations or weather conditions but it has been a huge improvement. For the most part I now sweat like most normal people do. That is unless I am really bustin my butt working hard in the heat and humidity. In that situation I still seem to sweat like rain. Thats when I dehydrate very quickly and feel like I am going to pass out. It then takes me an hour or more to recover. Do you get that way too?

Thanks again for your insight and helpful posts,
    Chuck
