I joined this site recently. I'm 24 years old. I've always lacked confidence and got by kind of ok as a kid. But things got progressively worse for me around the time of my high school years. I remember a group presentation where a barely said two words, could barely form a sentence. It was pretty embarrassing and I felt so low. My fear of public speaking kind of dragged along through college. And is now even worse in university. I should of graduated a while ago. I figure I will in the summer but I avoided all discussion groups and social situations. SA has pretty much ruined my school/career opportunities. I have no friends anymore. The only good thing is I've been in a relationship for 5 years now and I've kept a part time job.
I always thought I was the only one with this problem but there are so many like us I now come to realize.
I joined this site hoping that it would put me on the right path as I think you did also.
