Meeting people! Boyfriend and Girlfriend! Friends!

I like talking to people online but when i get in front of someone i cant look in their eyes. I mean I can do it but I cant be where theres lots of people like a concert or something. I went on a date to alittle restraunt or a coffee place is fine. Meeting people freaks me out but if im with like a best friend or my mom i can do it but i freak out and i feel like im going to be out of my skin and run somewhere else. Has anyone else felt like they just can talk to people online but can't meet people or talk on the phone?

I totally know what your talking about. For me Im totally fine online and what not but on the phone and in real life I totally suck at socializing. unless its about something that im actually intrested in (explaining the reason why I suck at talking with girls, they talk about shit that I dont give give a shit about). Plus Im pretty sure im just really slow mentally, I can never think of anything right after people say something to me. Its like I need extra time to get my extensive thoughts out or somthing.

yeah same here. but then again i have a learning disability so i think that plays a part in it.

You can use this trick: stare between their eyes... the person can't tell unless you are at a really close range

thats how it is exactly with me, i usually know what to say online .. but in person im like ahh, umm.. thoughts just dont come to me as they do when im on the net
i hate it, cause i think people get the impression that im just boring
