Just watched social rejections episode from Most Evil

I'm not sure if anyone knows the show...but they had an episode on today about psycho killers who are the way they are because of social rejection and don't have any empathy for people. I think about that a lot...sometimes it scares me because I think I might snap one day and go on a killing rampage, or that I should be like that. So many killers are like that, you know? They have a horrible childhood and no one ever loved them. Sometimes I think I've dodged a bullet with that- I'm completely spineless and never want to leave my house but at least I don't have dead people in my freezer. It's sort of funny how the same experience can lead people in two very different directions. I think most of the people on here don't stand up for themselves and would never say a bad thing about anyone, and then there are the people who don't care at all and like seeing people in pain because that's how they were treated.

I think you're talking about psychopaths. It's a very specific kind of mental illness. They have a very narcissic behaviour, with no sense of good and evil, and they have no feelings for other people. Generally, they look very social.
You can learn more about this on these webpages :
Psychopathy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Antisocial personality disorder - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I guess you don't have to worry about becoming a psychopath, because if you were one, you would not care ;).
And if you're really affraid of beeing one, here is a small test, try to answer seriously about it, generaly psychopaths find the answer quite easily :

At the funerals of her mother, a girl meets a guy she didn't know and immediatly feels in love with him. A few days later, this girl kills her sister. Why?
If you find the answer, forget me :D

I got the pm... thanks for the answer, don't know if you got my reply back coz nothing said the message was sent so I post here. Iam sure not a psychopat, if someone answered this question correct I would be scared of this person lol... psychopats are scary, it's hard finding out if someone is a psychopat... they act like normal people, befriend you and than in a moment they can take out a knife and stab you

Well all psychopaths are not killers, the killers ones are not so common, but in everycase, they are dangerous. They like to manipulate people, they are friendly in order to use people they met, to flatter their ego, but they don't care about them,... When they don't need these people anymore, they will try to isolate them from other people, they will be rude with them. They can make a lot of psychological damages to their relatives. A friend of my parents was a pscho. He never wanted to kill anybody (don't worry), but he made a lot of troubles to them, isolated them from the group of friends they had in common, told lies about them just because they noticed something was wrong about him and they wanted to move away from him. He looked very nice at the beginning, very friendly, generous, etc... It's very hard to notice that someone is a psycho because of that : they look nice at first sight.

Oh really I thought all psychos are killers... yea they act nice, charming, but thet are the opposite really, women can be psychos too, heard about a story once from a guy on a dating site... He and the women arranged a one night thing together, had sex, and the psycho women called her Boyfriend later and the guy beat him up so bad that he had to go to hospital, the guy didn't know she had a BF, she lied to him

What was funny was when I read about the difference between a narcist and psycho if they were to do a robbery, a psycho would kill everyone who sees him, a narcist is going to take everyone who sees him as hostage, coz he doesn't want anyone to know that he is a bad person... I have thoughts like this many times, when someone sees me doing something bad I wanna take everyone who saw me as hostage, coz I feel like Iam not a bad person and if someone sees me doing something bad and tells everyone I feel injustice is being done to me, coz Iam a good guy.... Weird eh, but it's true... guess Iam a narcist with social phobia, 2 opposite things together in me... I do feel grandiose at times like Iam the best but mostly I feel low of myself coz of my SA... it scares me a bit that a narcist is being compared to a psycho lol like I got some things in common of a psycho

Yeah, it's probable that a psycho would kill every eyewitnesses because he doesn't care about them. For him, people are just objects that can be used to flatter his ego. I guess the main difference between a psycho and a narcissistic person is that the narcissistic person has a notion of good and evil (something the psycho don't have) and I'm not sure he would consider people just like objects. But again, not all psycho are killers. I don't think it's because of their moral values, but more because of the fact that they are afraid to finish their life in prison (but maybe I'm wrong about this).
I hope you won't have nightmares :D.
Anyway, I don't think that being narcissistic and having SA is impossible. Before I knew I had SA, I felt sometimes superior (even if I knew it wasn't true) to other people, but it was more a defence mechanism. When I had these feelings, it was generally when there were a lot of people I didn't know around me, that I would like to meet but because of my anxiety I couldn't. So, in a way to protect myself, I considered myself as superior to them, that I didn't needed them. It was also a way to hide to myself I was affraid of them. Now I know I have SA, I don't try to hide to myself that I'm afraid of these people, I accept it.

Yea a narcist is still emotional if Iam correct but lacks empathy towards others, a narcist usually takes on identities of other people, in order to if he is hurt, rejected he has an excuse like "hey that's not who I really am". so he will always be somebody else, I think why a narcist does something bad is coz he thinks he is entitled to everything, he is a good person he believes to whom unjust is being done all the time, so in a way to balance this he does bad things but if someone will see him doing it he will take him hostage, coz the person who saw him will think he is a bad guy and tell everyone lol

yea social phobia and narcism can coexist, the underlying issue of narcissism is low self esteem similar to SA, I used to tell lies and imagine stories, and try to make myself look like Iam the best in front of other people, taking on different identities was my major thing though...

Yes, but I guess that in your case, (like it was a bit in my case), it's more a way to defend yourself about rejection, the fear of being rejected, or a way to be accepted by the other. It's not really narcissism.
Anyway, I hope that you (TheNewZero) are relieved : you're certainly not a psychopath, or you would not be in this forum (you would not have SA if it was the case) :D.

Wow, you've made me curious. I couldn't find that exact riddle anywhere, though i found a similar one where the girl forgets to ask the guy for contact details... did you forget to include that detail or is it a different riddle?
