is depression really extreme boredom

my internet hasnt been working properly the last couple of days i keep losing conection and im beginning to feel extremely bored depressed becuase of boredom if i had no internet at all i would probably take a breakdown or sleep all day

I think the two are related and one could be the cause, and the other the effect ,depending on the situation. If you are bored you may become depressed because you start ruminating over negative things perhaps, and conversely if you are depressed you may lack any motivation to do anything and thus become bored. From experience I can tell you that it's a vicious cycle and one that most times needs to be resolved.

I suppose for you as for me, the internet is probably one of the only means we have to interact with people and prove to be a distraction from negative thinking. So yeah I'd be pretty bored too, if my internet was taken away. However I do think that we should find an alternative if possible, because we can't always get ideal circumstances.

When anybody in this world regardless who or what they are got nothing to do in life.. They get bored and we humans dont like sitting there doing nothing or repeating the same thing for a long time..
