Instant Messages

Sorry to anyone who sent me instant messages in the last five months, I had it turned off and didnt even know it and today I clicked on a button on Firefox and it sent me all these outdated messages dating back to the end of last year

and you know what - Ive turned it back off again... because of messages like the following

can the first thing our new moderators do be to kick pointless low lifes like boxingfan who come onto this site not to contribute but to try to tear down other people.

I dont care if you have low self esteem and feel the need to belittle others in order to feel better about yourself. We here on this forum all suffer from various types of conditions/disorders but at least we dont actively seek to hurt others.

Whoa - I just realized Firefox blocked the instant messages. Sorry to all that sent me a message! I didn't respond because I didn't realize!

Sorry to hear youv'e had some pr*ck sounding off at you, horatio. I can get rid of his threads and whatever messages he puts up but I can't stop him coming back and I cannot stop him from private messaging.

How do I disable blocking of instant messages with Internet Explorer?
I get a cursor sometimes shaped like a hand with an exclamation mark.

I know it was ages ago you posted and hopefully you cracked it yourself,if not or for anyone else who is having the same problems.
1-Click tools at the top of the explorer screen
2-select internet options at the bottom of the list
3-select the privacy tab
4-There should be a box with the details about pop up blocker at the bottom of the screen select settings
5-Okay enter the address of this website into the exceptions box,the address should now appear in the "allowed sites"
6-Now on the filter level select low "allow pop up's from secure site's"

That should of hopefully sorted it.

Is there any way to disable the 'mini messenger' instant messages? I'm afraid to log in, because instant messages cause me severe anxiety. I know.. it's ridiculous.

you could get a pop up blocker...try going to googles homepage and dling it...thats what i use (looks like guests can post again...yay?)

that happens to me too Cassie...i never get the instant message instantly...i don't know why :roll:
