Hi all, I just wanted to update my experience of Avert as I am a new user.
I started taking this when I moved last year from the the UK to Spain!! Imagine, 39degC and about 60% humidity, hell in a bucket for a palmar/plantar HH sufferer.
I was really wary of taking Avert because it is not a medicine that has been developed for this condition. I´ve tried using all of the topical chemicals, did Ionto for a bit (just couldn´t dedicate the time, with having a young family and full time job), investigated Botox (costs too much money).
I take 2mg Avert in the morning and then 2mg in the late afternoon. It takes longer for Avert to work for me, I reckon about 4 hours, so I take it around 5AM. I do get a dry mouth and a dry nose, but it is so worth it. I am not completely sweat free, I would say I sweat like the majority of people do now and if I am very nervous then I sweat more (as expected).
Yesterday I decided not to take Avert and it was like the good old days, slipping around in my sandals, sweating when I touched anything, feeling very self conscious. I woke up this morning sweating and now, whilst I´m typing this I´m wiping my hands every minute, waiting for the Avert to kick in.
I would reccomend that everyone tries Avert or similar, even just once to see. I wish I had done it 20 years ago.
I´ll keep you posted.
