Hm, it could be Avoidant Personality disorder, but it could be something else
Avoidant Personality Disorder is generally abbreviated as AvPD, I'm not so sure about APD
But yea, wikipedia pretty well sums it up

Avoidant personality disorder is usually abbreviated as AvPD. APD would be antisocial personality disorder, which is a totally different thing (except for the personality disorder part, of course). The little v is used to distinguish one from the other, but if people all know what the talk is about - like on this forum for instace, they omit the little v.

And use Wikipedia, that'll give you all the answers.
