I find this person totally rude in one of the support groups..

I went to one of the depression support groups recently, in this meeting this lady was telling her story. During that session, this other lady was telling her that she likes to get to know her and asks for her phone number.

I thought that was totally rude...

First off she asking a total stranger out of the blue for her phone number, second which bugs me the most, is that she asks during the session.. She could have waited until after the session to talk to this lady. After the meeting I saw her talking to the same lady and sort of gave her a dirty look.

She made me feel very insecure when she spoke to that other lady during the session. Sad I saw them walking outside together I felt even more insecure and developed more low self esteem.. I never went back to that support group. Some people have no consideration.. I find it completely disturbing how one individual would complement another during a support meeting and leaving others in the cold....

Hm did that lady know you have SA? If she didn't that's not really that rude. I would be annoyed by it too but unless that lady knew exactly what you have and knows a fair amount of information about SA I don't think she would have realized that might bother someone. Most people don't understand us shy people. But that does really stink and I would feel rotten about it too. She was just thinking about herself and not about anyone else in the group.

That's mostly my opinion, when I got to talk in the group I can tell by the look on her face that she wasn't interested or she couldn't care less.. NO CONSIDERATION.. because of that IDIOT..., I've developed low self esteem... It mostly upsets me that someone else can easily make a friend, but when I try to talk to people I either get ignored or ridiculed..

IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!!!
