Depression

I have a depression, sometimes i feel no happiness at all.
The days are dark and I hate the world.
How can I cope with this, and anyone else who suffers from these feelings?

I usually fell no happiness at all ....
These days I'm a bit apathetic and I want to live another kind of life.....

In these 'depressive situations' I use to think about my future (in an optimistic way) and I do some activities (sport, listen to good music, meet friends, ...) that help me removing bad thoughts and feelings..

Read some self help workbooks-try to fight it, if you can. Depression is a disorder that only gets worse....I need to get a handle on it as well. I'm going to try to find some books to read.

Coping is an incredibly personal thing. I've seen people go with alcohol, or with working out and running almost obsessively. I don't think either are necessarily a good thing, but at the end of the day you still need to be healthy, functional, and sane to get through the next day. I do my best to just stay in touch with my creativity.

Early in 2014, reframing thoughts was helping for awhile. I was able to start getting some average days instead of bad day after bad day just by avoiding a few of the particularly nasty patterns. Eventually daily life was too miserable for that to do much, though. You can avoid taking a public rebuff as a reflection of your unworthiness, but you can't put lipstick on a pig when it comes to a complete and total lack of a social life.

Now it's focused meditation and postures. This involves focusing only on a single physical or mental object with all my awareness, or remaining in specific positions and focusing on breathing to see how long I can remain like that. Mind/body training, really.

I too suffer from it.

I suggest herbal remedies and therapy. However, conventional meds have their place with different individuals.

Also, join support groups. Make friends. Never give up!

I suffer from it too. There's some days where I don't even want to get out of bed either. Usually meditation usually helps me and I usually express myself through art. :)
