Just thought it would be interesting to hear what time of the day is best for you.

I always feel awful when I wake up, a bit better later on, often quite bad at noon, then usually feel better as it gets later. I definitely feel best at late evening, unless there's something unusually social happening next day.

Well I've never been very good at getting up in the mornings, especially when I have to go to work (no surprises there). My favourite part of the day is the evening/ night time when I'm free to relax and do what I want.

The best time has to be early mornings from about 5 to 7 when its really quiet I used to go running and the streets were empty and it was well peaceful. However im not a morning person so its not very often I get up that early anymore.

Night time is good... everything has wound down, there's no pressure, there's just you and anything you want to do by yourself. I have a bad habit of staying up just by the light of my computer. It's a bit confusing, because if I wasn't so anxious I think I'd be a definate morning person 8O I like getting up early when I can, and like the sun... so in the end I just end up getting no sleep

By 6pm I'm physically and mentally exhausted and unable to enjoy my hobbies - I end up just slouched in front of the tv which is awful, plus I feel a bit anxious going out at night (for good reason, drunk people aren't afraid to hurl abuse at strangers, hmpf!)

I feel crap when I first wake, but my energy levels and happiness peaks midday (on an active day). If I'm depressed and lock myself away, its all rubbish. Day blends into night...

Same for me, the worst is the morning, then it gets better. I think I like evenings because I can plan things very well, and feel like I am in control of my life, while not having to do anything in practice, since it's all necessarily postponed to at least the following day

quipuquipo, this is off topic, but I have read it can damage your eyes in the long run, if you stare at a bright screen in the darkness. You should keep at least a small lamp on, somewhere in the room, so your retina receives some extra dispersed light.

Yeah, I know, it's bad :( I just like to feel that when it's night, it should be dark, y'know? Idealy, I shouldn't be on it at all.

I'm definitely a night person. I love the dark and just the feel of night. Being able to just sit around in comfy pj's is a plus too. :D I hate driving at night though. My night vision is awful, probably due to sitting in front of a pc screen with no other light over the years.

Usually from about mid afternoon to midnight i'm feeling reasonably energetic (for me anyway) and alot calmer. I can't stand mornings even if i manage to get some sleep, unless i am in the country. It really is a nice feeling waking up to the sounds of nature rather than traffic or some dudes jackhammer.
But rainy nights are the best, great to run in and my mutt has a blast jumping in all the puddles. It puts my mind at rest and I can just listen to it.

I am a morning person I think, as long as I don't let myself sleep in (then I'm a no part of the day person). I feel refreshed and alert, with a full day to potentially do many things. As the day goes on I get tireder and by the end I'm exhausted, not functioning as well. It seems the closer to the end of something I get the more tired and bored with it I get, and the day is no exception.

Depends on what I'm doing, anything from morning to the middle of the night

I usually feel the best in the mornings and as the day goes on my mood will begin to drop until I feel at my worst, but as someone else mentioned, all of this can vary depending on if there is a social situation happening.

I like the early morning because it is quiet.

This, completely. I'm not a morning person at all and am usually very grumpy but if I get up early enough and it becomes a pattern for me, I can avoid the people in my house who make me grumpy. Then it's just the awesome morning light seeping through the windows, the lack of traffic, etc.
