you ve got one here! :) I allways keep my blinds closed. But today I half opened one in order to read "Feel the fear and do it anyway". Just a little bit so that I could read the lines without having to turn on the lights. It is an amazing sunny day outside and it just doesn't feel right turning the light-bulb on, you know?.. So, my friend, my nobble opinion is that we should do what wise old Susan Jeffers is suggesting... Feel the fear and do it anyway. I bet it is a nice day there too, so get out there enjoy it and I might too. See you underneath that sun

well plucked up the courage 10 minutes ago to open my door and put out a catalogue (not ordered anything as usual)......my stupid dog did a plea for freedom (dont blame her) and ran out barking ferociousley at my next door neighbour putting out his bin::eek::
I had to go out and bring her in and talk to my neighbour but I was too scared and everything came out too fast and stuttery......im back in now door firmly closed..........dare not even venture to my back garden to hear my neighbours discussing the wierdo next door dashing out in bare feet to rescue her mad dog........
No, sunshine can stay behind tinted blinds today I dont care what susan jeffers says......I read her book too:)
Hope your venture out into the sun is better than mine moonchild.:)

for a couple of months i struggled to go outside because where i lived was surrounded by a busy main road and at the time i had insomnia and other issues, i became so self conscious that leaving the house made me feel sick. so at the time i was on a study payment for the course i had enrolled in, so essentially if a debt arises from absent classes at tax time i could be sent to court and given a criminal record now i am the last person you would expect to get into this sort of mess but the agrophobia was that extreme that it could lead me to a tax debt which is unthinkable in my own mind but very plausible given the circumstances ...essentially its a debt that arised out of confusion rather then a planned debt its still a problem

i cant believe i acted so irrationally but its what transpired ...

this is what social anxiety can lead to.

Once i moved out of that house i was renting in and started CBT sessions everything turned around. but i can see why it happens to people now, before i had the agrophobia i never invisioned myself acting that way but i allowed it to become extreme through lack of sleep and stress, i would beat myself up in my head over the smallest things ...

I still went out on weekends to buy food and when i had to but given the choice i stayed inside

We are who we are. Neighboors could be discussing about it or not. I think mine do think a lot about me and probably been talking about me ( I think that for almost anyone) but I've tried to focus on my thoughts for them isntead of worrying what they think of me. I mean.. whenever I see them, I try to think "That's me, take it or leave it, I don't care what you say, comment as much as you like, this is me and that's the way it is." And I try to focus on the way I feel about them judging me (hurt, angry) instead of adopting their way of thinking about me. Sometimes it works.. sometimes it doesn't :)

Yer, I have to go out this afternoon to town bricking it to be honest, but got to be done.

yesterday I was all up for going out, I went for a walk three times in a busyish area and also went to the shops. Today I just dont feel like it, woke up with butterflies in me stomarch, the wind is blowing a gale and I looked in the mirror and thought what a mess who wants to look at that

I always have trouble leaving the house. I need to go buy a thing. But as usual, I am conscious about any clothes I wear to go out. So I am delaying it.
