Agoraphobia?

I think I have agoraphobia but possibly it's just my OCD. So I would greatly appreciate any advice.

It all started 3 months ago when I watched this video online. It was absolutely the most grotesque thing I have ever seen. Ever since then I haven't been able to leave my house, much too scared. If I even think of leaving I'll freak out, terrified that what happened to the guy in the video will happen to me. The intrusive thoughts from OCD play a big part in it.

It's not just that, if I want leave the house I'm constantly anxious thinking about the million things that could go wrong (which probably will).

What do you think? Agoraphobia or just OCD?

im not an expert but from what ive learned since joining SPW, is that all of these illnesses are closely linked.

i try to avoid these videos that you mention, cause it adds more fear to the fear you already have.

you will get better answers from others on here :)

To the video? Its been pulled off most sites. I watched it on Youtube but it has since been taken off. You can go ahead and look for it though. I'm sure you'll be able to find it “3 guys 1 hammer”, and no it's not like that.

I strongly recommend not watching it though.

3 guys 1 hammer.... Yea... its better if i don't watch it. :I I don't really understand the relevance of "that" and agrophobia... though. But, who knows...

OCD + intrusive thoughts + disturbing video = agoraphobia, and a lot of fear.

That's what I'm going with.

Jennifer ill tell you what my shrink told me "u have bean fu[ked up (did not say the F word) for a long time, XY was just a catalyst"

i don't think you got the agoraphobia from the film, i think i may have been a catalyst

I have mild Agoraphobia, if I dont leave for school, my best friend or gf (last two only once a week), I stay in my room all the time. Alone sitting here in the dark is where I stay cause im too anxious to go anywhere else.
