I'm thinking about asking my doctor to put me in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for my SA..and I have no idea what it's like..so my question is what should I expect on my first day? and how much does it help?

This question is for the Ex smokers....How much easier is it to manage your anxiety now that you quit smoking?

Another one.....(this is a really stupid I know)

I'm going to start attending a new class in a few weeks, and I'm worried about people asking me why I'm so quiet, how do I respond to a question like this? should I just tell them I'm shy?

On your first day of CBT, you will be asked alot of personal questions about your lifestyle, what is was like growing up in your household, social enviroment, drug/alcohol usage, activity level, educational background, etc...
They will also discuss what CBT is and what type of therapy is needed for you, personal vs group. After that you will have to keep a journal and learn different exercises about breathing control.

as to answering people rudely asking why you're so quiet, just say that you keep to yourself. you'll talk when someone talks to you.

what's that saying? quiet waters run deep? or maybe it's still...

anyway, just say no one's talked to you yet and then maybe you can befriend somebody new :D

take care.
