you people on here are really smart!!

does sa make you smarter than the average person ?

and its funny because most of the time in school i really want to speak about an issue we disscuss and i never have the guts to do so.
or when im counting my money at register i panic so much i cant count straight

becuase social phobic think too much
about what people will think about them, or if they look okay to the society and so on...
a lot of people think that depressed people are smarter.. i dont know if it's true or not... but it surely seems it is.

Well, I have been called smart on a few occasions by people who don't know me very well.

But I think, at least in my case it's more to do with having too much free time, and the fact I read and surf the interent and reflect on things excessively.

I never was that great of a student.

I'm more like one those prison convicts who get university degrees during their time.

Yeah I think SA people are alot smarter! We use our brain.

hiya shyfriend16......this frustrates me, cause i rarely speak my mind, even if i have a valid point, or valid information.....so, even if i have some intelligence about something....noone really sees it cause i'm too shy to speak about it....or if i do, it comes out all quiet and weird sometimes...and i'm sure my weird quirks make me seem less intelligent than i really am :roll:

I'm not sure about everyone else, but sa has made me very dumb in school. Since i was always afraid of people, i couldn't learn what they were teaching because of all the people there. So, even if it was one-on-one i couldn't learn because i was thinking about this teacher standing next to me. They never knew what was wrong with me, and i ended up in the special classes along with the wheelchair people. Special ed? i guess so.
Even my spelling sucks, and that makes it all the more embarrassing. *uses spell check alot*

And its always been like that, until i dropped out while ago.

I don't think SA make you smarter.In some cases it can effect your ability to learn.I know it did for me.Personally I think I would be a lot smarting if I didn't have SA. :? :?

Yes i agree with that as well...

I think people with SA tend to be on the smarter side...we have the ability to think critically, and analytically. These are some amazing attributes that can allow us to do great things. But in our case, we internalize all this and it can cause us to feel completely unstable and incompetent. If we directed these qualities outward where they belong we could do amazing things.

And SA can definitely affect learning. How can some one possibly learn, and absord new material when we're constantly beating ourselves up and having racing thoughts about ourselves alone?? The answer is you cant in that kind of situation. Thats why its so important. And i feel lucky to have only gotten it recently (as opposed to some one whos had it since they were kids) because it can really stiffle your personaloty devel. or learning. But if youve had it since you can remember, theres no reason you cant over come it. In fact youll be so ready to feel different than youve always felt.

About what shyfriend said, i think its totally true! I dont have the guts, even if i was asked i wud just say that i dont know and Everyone will keep thinking im an idiot (Either it was Too Easy Or Too Silly!)
I spend most of my time .. Concluding the answers and figuring out the solutions ect., Even though i know the answer, I wud still Doubt it At My Most! Often,I Feel that my classmates think im being So proud of myself, Becuz they think i dont want to Share my opinions/ideas ect. OR even speak. That makes me really depressed, where will that awful pride come from? WHY CANT THEY UNDERSTAND?? AAAHHHH *stop whining!!!* Sorry
Anyway ..

I believe that Everyone here is SMART!!!! no matter What, no one is NOT!
