Based on the 'why do women like assholes' post, it got me thinking: would you become an asshole (or change your personality) to attract a significant other? Why or why not?

Thanks, just thought it would be interesting to ask everybody. It's my experiment, if you will.
It's nice to hear some other opinions :)

Because I'll hate myself for it, also I'll probally would not like any girl who likes to be treated as such. You could say im quite refined about things. ^^
Hell im against people and methods/society like this.

Why should someone change their personality for someone else? Its obvious they wont get along with eachother... *shrug*

It's true, in most cases, thats all that it takes. But don't expect to become like these "players". They are assholes because they can be (face). Girls will keep coming back.

No way. I would take it as a sign that the significant other and I aren't "meant to be" if I'd have to change myself so drastically (and negatively).

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I met a big fat stinking selfish loser asshole last year, so it was the perfect chance for me to become one myself...but I just couldn't do it......I'd rather be alone with my SP that be an asshole and have an even bigger asshole for company

Nope. But I won't be a doormat either. If I'm an asshole, that's fine. I'm happy with it. However, I'm not going to change my personality for anybody at all. Besides, if girls really liked assholes more, I'd probably have a lot more of them in my life ;) lol

My brother did this. He won't admit it, but he claims his whole life changed. He's a very ugly guy, but hes also 6'2 and pretty witty.

fuck no....if they don't want me for me them screw em I say lol...but its true girls do tend to like assholes...I think its an instinct to go for agressive males...

I actually changed my mind on this one. I think I would - but only if it was for a girl that I absolutely needed. Granted, I'm not normally a 'carnal' type of guy who's obsessed with appearance. However, if she was so smokin' hot that I just had to do it, I'd demonstrate a little bit of confidence and try my luck. Maybe step outside of my 'usual' character and learn a thing or two.
