Hi all,

I heard an article on Radio 4 and I brought my attention to sites on the web that I never knew before about Social Phobia, what a relief! I’m in my mid 40’s now, just recently moved back to Worcester from Hertfordshire, to get back to more open space valleys and hills so I can walk alone in more pleasant surroundings. I do have a history of depression, been on Prozac for months, had my share of enjoyable relationships that are now over. I have to say that even though I do have to be by myself because of my (Social Phobia) condition there are some benefits. I love to dream and have my own space, now this has taken years to get to this sort of balanced situation. Don’t get me wrong I have been cowering in the corner of the room with my brain hurting so with a total disbelief of how my life can be that way and how on earth do I feel in such a way. How people are so distant from me and how on very many occasions I feel so alienated in there company. So there’s a brief introduction, please feel free to correspond, I will reply when I can. It will be a pleasure to correspond with like minded people.

Hey welcome :D

I heard the same programme on radio 4 too. I think it was good that they looked at a problem which people are only just becoming aware of as social phobia. Well of course social phobia has always existed but not the diagnosis.
I'm sure you'll meet lots of interesting people here sharing the same experiences. :D
